Set at the edge of a vast Danish forest, Forest Edge House is a contemporary residence conceived as a quiet dialogue between architecture, interior, and landscape. Completed in 2025, the home reflects a deeply personal vision, designed from the inside out by interior designer and owner Lise Henriksen in close collaboration with the Danish architecture studio M2Plus.

The ambition was to create a sanctuary immersed in nature, yet defined by clarity and intention. The forest acts as an active presence, shaping the light and atmosphere of the interiors. To maximize this connection, an “upside-down” layout was implemented, placing the kitchen and living areas on the upper floor to capture the canopy views, while bedrooms remain nestled below.

Materiality plays a fundamental role in the project’s grounded feel. Oak floors and Linvisibile oak wood essence doors create a subtle, tactile interplay that reinforces the connection to the surrounding woodland. The use of Linvisibile technology allows for architectural purity, emphasizing clean lines and seamless transitions between spaces.

Rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, the interior balances openness with intimacy. Natural wood, refined stone, and understated textiles create a layered yet restrained atmosphere. In this home, nothing is decorative for its own sake; every bespoke solution and integrated detail supports a sense of well-being and visual continuity toward the Danish landscape.
